Now in beta on iPhone

Fresh routes
from your door.

Tell Stridr how far you want to run or ride. It plans a loop that starts and finishes at home, then guides you round it turn by turn.

Free during the beta. We'll only email you about Stridr.

Why Stridr

Never run the same loop twice.

Pick a distance, or say "I've got 40 minutes". Stridr builds a route that suits it from wherever you are, and remembers where you've been so the next one goes somewhere new.

Any distance, from your door

Loops that start and end where you are, or a run to the station, the park or a friend's. Quiet roads, flat or hilly, scenic through parks: your call.

Lit & busy after dark

Running after sunset? Stridr keeps you on lit streets with people about, away from empty back streets, and shows exactly where any dark stretches are before you set off.

Escape the city

For longer rides, Stridr heads out of town to the Surrey Hills, the Chilterns or the Peak District, loops you round, and brings you home a different way.

After dark

Dark by five? Run on lit streets.

From late October the light's gone before most people finish work. Turn on Lit & busy and Stridr plans around unlit paths, parks and empty back streets, then tells you how much of the route is lit and how much is on busy streets.

See the route, distance, climb and time. Not feeling it? Get another option in a tap.

Just go

Voice cues guide you round with your phone in your pocket, and the next turn is on your Lock Screen.

On the run

Built for the run itself.

  • Turn-by-turn voice cues and a gentle tap before each turn
  • Next turn, pace and distance left on your Lock Screen
  • Changed your mind? Head home or add a few km, mid-run
  • Your runs saved, with uploads to Strava and Apple Health
  • Share a route link with a friend, or export GPX to Garmin
  • Rides stay on roads and proper cycle lanes, never gravel

Questions

Good to know.

Is Stridr free?

Yes, while it's in beta. After launch there'll be a free version, with Stridr+ for unlimited new routes and extras. Lit & busy is on every plan.

Where does it work?

Anywhere in Great Britain: cities, towns and countryside. Routes are built from public map data, so they know about parks, paths, quiet roads and street lighting.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Stridr is iPhone-only for now. Join the list and we'll tell you if Android arrives.

Does it work with Strava?

Yes. Connect Strava in Settings and finished runs and rides upload to your account automatically. You can also export any route as GPX for Garmin, Komoot or your watch.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, and your runs are saved on your phone.

What about my location and privacy?

Stridr uses your location to plan from where you are and to follow you round. During a run you started, tracking carries on with your phone locked; otherwise nothing runs in the background. No ads, no tracking, nothing sold. Read the privacy policy.

Your next route is waiting.
